Diese wundersch\u00f6ne geologische Besonderheit findet ihr auf der Halbinsel Yucatan. Sie bildet Teil des arch\u00e4ologischen Parks Ik Kil unweit von Chichen Itza. Arch\u00e4ologen und H\u00f6hlenforscher fanden in den tiefen Gew\u00e4ssern dieser Cenote Knochen und Schmuckst\u00fccke, was zu der Annahme f\u00fchrte, dass der Ort von den Maya als heilig angesehen wurde. Vielleicht nutzte man ihn, um Menschenopfer f\u00fcr den Regengott Chaac zu erbringen. Die Cenote ist f\u00fcr Schwimmer ge\u00f6ffnet.<\/span><\/p>\n
