Der Libanon liegt an der Schnittstelle des Mittelmeerraums und geh\u00f6rt zu den Regionen, in denen antike Zivilisationen wie die Ph\u00f6nizier, Assyrer, Perser, Griechen, R\u00f6mer, Byzantiner und osmanischen T\u00fcrken lebten. Die reiche Geschichte hat die einzigartige kulturelle Identit\u00e4t des Landes in Bezug auf ethnische und religi\u00f6se Vielfalt gepr\u00e4gt. Im Libanon gibt es zwei \u00d6koregionen: die ostmediterrane sklerophile Nadelw\u00e4lder und die s\u00fcdanatolische montane und sommergr\u00fcne Nadelw\u00e4lder.
