Raquel Mauri and Ivan Rakitic

When Rakitic arrived to Spain to play for the Seville club, he didn’t speak a word of Spanish and lived alone in a hotel. That’s where he met a bartender called Raquel Mauri. She’s the reason he learned to speak Spanish, and why his coffee consumption exponentially increased. Rakitic went on to play the finals of the 20188 World Cup with his country, and won the UEFA Champions League with the FC Barcelona club — but his bigger achievement to date was to get Rachel to go out on a date with him.
