The eldest daughter of Pierre and Marie Curie, Irene Joliot-Curie was a famous French chemist and physicist. Along with her husband she won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1937 for her discoveries of induced radioactivity. In other works made by both of them, they also managed to turn boron into radioactive nitrogen as well as aluminum into phosphorus and magnesium into silicon.
