8 – Sloth Bears And Bengal Tigers Are Native To India, And Might Indeed Fight Each Other, Like In ‘The Jungle Book’

A fight between a bear and a tiger might sound weird, but just like in ‘The Jungle Book’, it happens in real life. In the movie, Baloo, the sloth bear, defends Mowgli by fighting Shere Khan, the Bengal tiger. After the fight, Baloo was badly injured. Being both animals native to India, sloth bears and bengal tigers are known to fight each other. Sloth bears use their large canine teeth as a defense against tigers, something Baloo could try next time.
