15 – Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin, born in England, was a naturalist who changed the whole paradigm of evolution and natural selection. He argued that natural selection consisted of the idea that all life on Earth evolved from a common ancestor. Apart from this, he also presented detailed research that includes a five-year voyage on the HMS Beagle. This research led him to write one of today’s most important books on biological science, The Origin of Species.
