He Provides Welcome Comic Relief

As we all know, the Dragon Ball franchise is mostly about grown muscly men beating each other to a pulp in amazing battles set all over Earth. Yet the franchise manages to keep it light-hearted and there is always an underlying comic tone – to which Krillin is one of the key contributors. No matter the situation, you can usually count on Krillin to get a few laughs, with a nervous uttering or an awkward comment. Someone who can lighten the mood when things are getting tense is an important person to have on a team. Krillin fulfills this role to a T, even when the jokes are on him.
