6 – Homer

Homer is considered one of the world’s most influential writers and poets. Known for two of his many works, the Iliad and Odyssey are landmarks in literature and defined the style, vocabulary and content for centuries after. Even today, many of his works are used in schools, much due to these very linguistic characteristics of his works. The principles, ideas, and arguments put forward by Homer in his works are very powerful and influential for people even today.
