7 – Archimedes

Born in Ancient Greece, the so-called ‘Godfather of Invention’ Archimedes was a talented and multi-faceted artist, scientist and mathematician. His contributions to Geometry helped revolutionise the way people looked at this field and his working methods influenced people like Leonardo da Vinci and Newton. Apart from his contributions to mathematics, he also wrote many important works on the natural sciences and also on the field of physics and its principles.
